Healthy Habits you can start TODAY

Let’s nurture our mind, body and soul!

I certainly want to continue to keep my mind, and body healthy and happy, and I am confident you do too!

It really is ALL about our habits, our daily habits. For myself, I found it very helpful to just commit to one or two habits every day. From here, I started to build up and added more. It really was the small, habits that I did consistently everyday that made the difference in my life.


My top 5 Healthy Habits that I commit to everyday: 😊

1. Sleep, Sleep, Sleep! I need my sleep! It is how I can function the following day. A good nights rest is so important for me! If I do not get a good nights sleep, ( which means lights out by 9:30-10:00 the latest ) it affects my day, and NOT in a good way. I feel sluggish, unmotivated, my brain feels foggy, and my so-called healthy habits are the last thing I want to commit to. I find it helpful to wind down an hour before. I do this by dimming the lights putting my phone away, maybe reading a book, a light yoga stretch, or a calming show or an inspirational you tube video with a warm cup of tea. Every evening is different.

2. Water, Water Water! This is crucial to my well-being, and it’s proven to be so beneficial for our physical health. If you need to spice it up, add a wedge of lemon or lime, or even fresh berries. Get as creative as you need to… BUT just drink water... a minimum of at least eight glasses a day.

3. Nutrition, Nutrition, Nutrition! A healthy lifestyle begins in our kitchens. For me, I feel my best when I simply eat whole foods. It has made such an impact on the way I feel in all areas…it has been mind, body, and soul nurturing for sure. It consists of eating, whole grains, healthy fats, healthy proteins, nuts, and seeds, and yes, lots and lots of veggies! Snacking on fresh fruits has been my go to snack! Weekends are a different story. ☺️

4. Exercise, Exercise, Exercise! This changes for me every day. I really just listen to my body. Some days I am in the mood for a strong yoga practice, or other days I may feel like a slow flow. Most importantly is I HAVE to move my body. I feel good when I do. I have to get my energy flowing. It’s so important to dig deep and find a form of exercise that you enjoy doing. One exercise, other than yoga, that I absolutely do every single day is walking!

5. Go outside, Go outside, Go outside! Oh, My Goodness! Going outside is so, so good for my soul! I soak up vitamin D, I love the fresh air, and I find it so good for my mental health. Being outside really does clear my mind instantly. This is such an important habit for me… I absolutely love it and so does my SamI boy 🐶


These small daily healthy habits have improved my well-being in more ways that I can explain. I started small and it worked for me.
