The Heart of my Home – Soul-Full Living Acres

Three Simple Ways to Begin on Your Own Land and Appreciate the Beauty God Created

There is something holy about tending to your land…even a small one. Over the years on my very own land “Soul-Full Acres”  you can name your land too :), I’ve learned that homesteading isn’t just about fresh eggs, the garden beds, or the sourdough cooling on the counter. It’s about slowing down long enough to feel connected again…to yourself, to the seasons, and to the beauty God created all around us.

What surprised me most is how much this journey became my ultimate form of self-care. Slowing down, noticing the small things, being present with each season… winter’s stillness, spring’s hope, summer’s fullness, fall’s release… it ALL helped me find stillness, care, softness, joy, and purpose right here at home. I didn’t have to go far or do anything fancy. I just had to step outside…everyday, no matter the season.

And that’s where every woman, every mom, can begin too.

Here are 3- Simple, SOUL-FULL ways to start appreciating the beauty around you and reconnecting with your own land… no matter how big or small it may be.

  1. Start with One Simple Step – Plant One Thing

You don’t need a full garden to begin. Start with something small: a pot of parsley or basil, a tomato plant, a container of flowers, or even a little herb you keep by the kitchen door.

Tending to one plant gently teaches patience, grounding, and presence.

It reminds you that growth takes time… and that God is always working beneath the surface, even when you can’t see it yet.

This small step is often the beginning of a deeper connection to your home and your land.

2.  Notice the Everyday Beauty That’s Already There

The truth is, nature is always offering something… we just don’t always slow down long enough to see it.

Take a simple walk outside.

Notice the sound of the birds, the fresh air, the sunlight on the leaves, the frost on the ground, the tiny new growth you might have missed yesterday.

These moments soften you. They ground you. They remind you that beauty is never far… it’s right outside your door.

This practice has brought me more peace than anything else.

It’s simple, free, and available to every mom who just needs a breath, a pause, or a moment to come back to herself.

3. Create Something  from Your Land- No Matter How Small

Picking a handful of mint or lemon balm for tea, gathering fresh eggs, snipping chives for breakfast, or baking a loaf of sourdough with your windows open…it all brings me a sense of so much gratitude and purpose.

When you create something from what you grew or tended, you feel connected in a deeper way.

It becomes nourishment for your family and nourishment for your SOUL.

THIS IS WHERE HOMESTEADING BECOMES HEART-WORK.

Where the Heart Truly Lives

You don’t need acres. You don’t need experience. You just need a willingness to slow down, step outside, and notice what God already placed around you.

This journey has taught me to love my home, my land, and my life in a new way… with more appreciation, more presence, and awareness of the seasons I’m moving though, inside and out.

And this is what I hope other women and mothers feel too: the invitation to step outside, take a breath, and begin with the beauty right in front of them.

Begin Your Own Soul-Full Journey

If your heart has been craving a slower pace… if you’ve been longing for more peace, more purpose, or simply a deeper connection to the place you call home… let this be your invitation.

Start Today.

Step outside. Plant one seed. Brew once cup of tea from an herb you grew. Sit in the SUN for 5 quiet minutes.

Your Soul-Full journey doesn’t begin with perfection… it begins right here, right now. BE HERE NOW.

I hope Soul-Full Acres inspires you to create your own version of this life, right where you are. Because peace GROWS in the small moments, joy BLOOMS in the ordinary, and GOD meets us in the SIMPLEST places… sometimes right in our own backyard.

From my heart to yours, Stacey
