Two Simple Ways to Celebrate Valentine’s Day: Loving Yourself First ♥️
Valentine’s Day isn’t just for couples. It’s a day to celebrate love in all its forms …friendship, family, and most importantly, the love you show yourself.
We spend so much time trying to be everything for everyone else. But here’s the truth: you are enough, just as you are. You don’t need to change, achieve more, or prove your worth to deserve love. It’s already yours.
This Valentine’s Day, whether you’re in a relationship or not, take time to honor yourself. Celebrate the beautiful person you are right now.
Here are 2 simple, heart-filled ways to start:
1. Write Yourself a Love Note
It might fee weird at first, but when was the last time you spoke kindly to yourself? Sit down with a piece of paper and write as though you’re talking to someone you love so much.
- What do you appreciate about yourself?
- What have you overcome?
- What makes you proud to be you?
Fold it up, keep it somewhere special, and read it whenever you need a reminder that you are worthy of love always.
2. Make Everyday Moments Feel Special
You don’t need big gestures to feel loved. Often, it’s the smallest things that bring the most happiness. Take the time to romanticize the little things for you!
- Light a candle at dinner, even if it’s just leftovers.
- Wear that outfit you love, even if no one else will see it.
- Put on your favorite song while folding laundry and sing at the top of your lungs. ☺️
When you treat life’s ordinary moments as treasures, your heart begins to see beauty everywhere, including in yourself.
A Message to My Younger Self (and My Children)
If I could go back and tell my 20 year old self one thing, it would be this: Focus on loving yourself first and make yourself a priority above anything else. Because now I know when you do…EVERYTHING else in life flows from that love.
And that’s what I want my girls and my son to know too- your worth isn’t defined by what you achieve in school, sports, or in the opinions of others.
Love yourself fiercely, without hesitation. You are enough, just as you are, and you always will be.
You Deserve to Be Celebrated
This Valentine’s Day, let this be your reminder: You are enough. Just as you are, right now, in this moment. No conditions! No exceptions!
So write that note. Light that candle. Celebrate the everyday.
Because you are worthy of love- always.
From my heart to yours, sending you love & light, Stacey ♥️
